I REUNIÓN INTERNACIONAL SOBRE BIOLOGÍA, CONSERVACIÓN Y DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE DE LOS ESTURIONES DEL SUR DE EUROPA “BIORESTURGEONS”

Del 28 al 30 de Noviembre de 2005 tendrá lugar en Granada, en el Palacio de Villamena, la I Reunión Internacional Sobre Biología, Conservación Y Desarrollo Sostenible De Los Esturiones Del Sur De Europa “Bioresturgeons” (1st International Workshop On The Biology, Conservation And Sustainable Development Of Sturgeons In Southern Europe "Bioresturgeons"), cuyo plazo de inscripción estará abierto del 24 de Octubre al 15 de Noviembre de 2005.

Tras muchos años de investigación multidisciplinar se ha demostrado, fuera de cualquier duda razonable, que Acipenser naccarii es autóctono del Guadalquivir y de todo el sur de Europa, y que comparte estos hábitats con A. sturio.

En paralelo, se ha logrado gracias a la colaboración entre empresas, Universidades, Grupos de investigación de la Junta de Andalucía y Opis en general, un aceptable nivel de desarrollo de la acuicultura del “Sollo del Guadalquivir”, A. naccarii, al menos lo suficiente para poder garantizar los necesarios intentos de recuperación del mismo en medio libre y su aprovechamiento comercial.

Ahora se plantea BIORESTURGEONS para que los más reconocidos especialistas mundiales puedan exponer lo hecho en sus zonas/países, tanto a nivel de recuperación, de gestión, como de acuicultura, y entre todos ver el mejor modo de recuperar los stocks de esturiones sur europeos en medio libre, y el modo de que recuperación y acuicultura tengan el mejor impacto ambiental y social.

La recuperación de los esturiones no puede retrasarse y debe hacerse aprovechándolos como una herramienta real de desarrollo sostenible. Ahora podemos.

1st INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON THE BIOLOGY, CONSERVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF STURGEONS IN SOUTHERN EUROPE "BIORESTURGEONS"

Abstract

After many years of multidisciplinary research, it has been demonstrated, beyond any reasonable doubt, that Acipenser naccarii is autochthonous to the Guadalquivir and to all of southern Europe, and that it shares these habitats with A. sturio.

In parallel, thanks to the collaboration between companies, Universities, Research groups of the Junta de Andalucía and Opis in general, an acceptable level of development has been accomplished in respect of aquacultural production of the “Sollo del Guadalquivir”, A. naccarii, at least to a level sufficient to be able to guarantee the necessary efforts towards the recovery of this species in its free environment and its corresponding regulated commercial exploitation.

Now the BIORESTURGEONS workshop is to be held so that the world's best-known specialists in this field may present what has been accomplished in their own countries or regions, in the related areas of recovery, management, and aquaculture, and may reach a consensus view among all concerned on the best way to recover the south European stocks of sturgeons in their free environment, and on the means of ensuring that both this recovery and the aquacultural activities should have an optimum environmental and social impact.

The recovery of these sturgeons cannot be delayed and should be done with care and responsibility. There is an excellent opportunity to make this venture a real tool of sustainable development. We can do this now.

ПЕРВЫЙ МЕЖДУНАРОДНЫЙ СИМПОЗИУМ ПО БИОЛОГИИ, СОХРАНЕНИЮ И УСТОЙЧИВОМУ РАЗВИТИЮ ОСЕТРОВОДСТВА НА ЮГЕ ЕВРОПЫ “BIORESTURGEONS”

Резюме

За многие годы научных многосторонних исследований было доказано, что Acipenser naccarii, несомненно, является аутохтонным видом для реки Гвадаквивир и для всей Южной Европы, и что он обитает в тех же районах, что и A.sturio.

Одновременно, благодаря сотрудничеству между различными хозяйствами, университетами, группами ученых Хунты Андалузии и различных общественных научно-исследовательских организаций, был достигнут достаточно приемлемый уровень развития аквакультуры, в частности, по теме “Осетр Гвадалквивира”, A.naccarii, по крайней мере в достаточной степени для того, чтобы иметь возможность гарантировать проведение необходимых мероприятий по восстановлению его запасов в природной среде, и его использование в промысловых масштабах.

В настоящее время планируется проведение научного симпозиума под названием “BIORESTURGEONS”, на котором встретятся известные специалисты для того, чтобы иметь возможность обсудить все, что было сделано в их регионах/странах, как в целях восстановления запасов осетровых, управления ими, так и их разведением, а также для того, чтобы рассмотреть вопрос о наилучших способах восстановления запасов осетровых на юге Европы в природных условиях, с тем, чтобы методы восстановления и аквакультура имели бы положительное воздействие на окружающую среду и общество.

Вопрос о восстановлении осетровых нельзя откладывать, и его следует рассматривать как реальный способ устойчивого развития осетроводства. Сейчас мы готовы к этому.
